Our OSG Telecommunications team requires a Telecom Services and Documentation Specialist to support daily telecom operations while ensuring that associated processes, data, and documentation are accurate, consistent, and audit‑ready. This role blends hands‑on telecom services support, including SIM and inventory management, with technical documentation responsibilities that enable operational efficiency, compliance, and knowledge continuity across the organization.

The individual in this position works closely with analysts, engineers, and field teams to support wireless operations, validate data, and document processes that reflect real‑world execution. The position requires the ability to understand telecom workflows end‑to‑end and translate them into clear, usable documentation for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Salary Range: $60,000-$85,000

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.

Role Responsibilities

 

Support Telecom Services operations with a strong emphasis on SIM and wireless device management, including:

    • Validating wireless device orders to minimize activation and provisioning errors
    • Reconciling SIM and device inventories across multiple carrier accounts
    • Maintaining accurate, audit‑ready records for compliance and reporting purposes
  • Running utilization and performance reports to support correct data plan assignment and cost controls
  • Partner with the Analyst – Performance & Budgets to verify data accuracy and support telecom financial and operational reporting.
  • Develop, maintain, and update telecom documentation such as SOPs, work instructions, operational guides, and reference materials that align with established processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Translate operational and technical workflows into clear written documentation, ensuring consistency between documented procedures and actual practice.
  • Utilize documentation tools, including Adobe FrameMaker, where appropriate, to support structured or long‑form documents and maintain version control.
  • Create supplemental materials such as process diagrams, workflow visuals, and training aids to support onboarding and operational consistency.
  • Maintain documentation repositories and support SharePoint content related to Telecom Services.
  • Ensure documentation and records are structured to support audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory inquiries.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting telecom operations, particularly wireless services and SIM management
  • Practical technical writing experience, including exposure to Adobe FrameMaker and structured documentation tools
  • Ability to work across operational and technical teams to gather, validate, and document accurate information
  • Strong attention to detail, data integrity, and documentation quality
  • Comfortable operating in an environment that blends operational support with documentation ownership
