The person occupying the role of Security Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on general risks and threats within the security landscape in Mexico, with a particular focus on Michoacán. This work will emphasize crimes and violence related to common crime, organized crime, and high‑impact criminal activity. Additionally, the role will be responsible for producing intelligence inputs and reports that support both operational needs and strategic planning.

• Continuously monitor general risks and threats related to the security landscape in Mexico, with a particular focus on violence and criminal activity associated with organized crime, common crime, and high impact crime in the state of Michoacán.

• Produce threat and risk analysis reports to assess potential operational impacts and provide forward looking insights.

• Collaborate with the analyst team to integrate identified risks into comprehensive intelligence and analytical products.

• Support the development of strategic recommendations aimed at ensuring operational continuity in Michoacán.

• Work closely with relevant stakeholders and entities to ensure intelligence analysis is aligned with the client’s operational needs.

• Operate under the management of Control Risks and in coordination with its monitoring center in Mexico City to ensure the continuity of project operations.

• Conduct continuous threat monitoring in the state of Michoacán.

• Develop a range of intelligence products, analyses, and reports using Control Risks’ resources and tools made available.

• Produce daily morning and afternoon reports covering areas where inspectors will be deployed.

• Include operational deployment recommendations within daily reporting.

• Provide support in the development of ad hoc intelligence products as required.

• Produce security alerts in response to emerging threats.

• Conduct prospective analysis of weekly and monthly security trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, Criminology, Intelligence, or related fields.

• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Minimum of three years of experience in intelligence collection and analysis related to security and risk management.

• Experience working with public security institutions, the private sector, or risk and intelligence consultancies.

• Proven experience in producing intelligence reports, including complex scenario analysis, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations.
