The Function & Team

The Triple Point Energy team manages a number of pools of capital, all with a mandate to accelerate the transition to Net Zero. The funds we manage are invested into both debt and equity investments.

Following rapid growth in our investment activities, and a significant increase in our near-term pipeline, we are seeking an Investment Associate with excellent financial modelling skills to join our investment team on a contract basis on either a full time or part time basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience in making investments into the renewable energy and energy transition sectors. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and sustainable energy, helping to accelerate the global transition to clean energy through innovative financing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluating new potential investments based investment analysis and understanding the dynamics of the relevant energy transition sectors
  • Building financial models including project finance/debt structures
  • Review and analysis of target financial statements and forecasts
  • Support with drafting investment proposals and investment committee presentations with support and input from investment directors
  • Understanding and optimising the project contractual structures from a financial perspective
  • Conduct research on selected sectors or market segments to identify and support the origination of potential investment opportunities
  • Provide assistance in transaction administration, ensuring compliance of internal procedures

Experience

  • Proven relevant experience in energy transition investment
  • Strong financial modelling and analysis, including debt finance/project finance structures
  • Ideally experience in renewables and/or storage assets in the UK, and or Europe
  • Have a grasp of renewable project commercials, understand project risks and associated management
  • Sound understanding of different debt financing structures
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
