At Blee we are replacing workflows that typically run on spreadsheets, email, etc with AI-first software that brings the whole org together to meet compliance requirements faster, more thoroughly, and with greater transparency. We currently have thousands of active users from dozens of enterprise-grade customers on pledged, or paid, long-term contracts. Our leadership group hails from the likes of Adobe, Chime, PayPal, AWS, Wachtell, Harvard Law, and Columbia Law.

We have built the first platform that handles the unique challenges our customers face from front-to-back. We find the ideal people for Blee will not only be natural problem solvers but will also enjoy the thrill of discovering which problems our users need solving in the first place, most of whom have never used a product like Blee before.

We have an office in downtown SF, one in NYC coming soon, and most of our team is split between the Bay Area and NYC.

The Role

This is an Associate role for an attorney who wants to sit at the intersection of law, technology, and product. You will translate legal and compliance requirements into platform rules, handle commercial contracts, and monitor the regulatory landscape – all while helping shape a product that is redefining how enterprises manage compliance.

What You'll Do

• Own customer rule creation – Translate legal and compliance requirements into platform rules alongside Implementation Managers

• Build cross-customer pattern recognition – Identify common rule sets, regulatory patterns, and reusable templates

• Handle commercial contracts – NDAs, DPAs, SOWs, amendments, and vendor agreements

• Monitor regulatory updates – Flag implications for customers and the product roadmap

• Coordinate with outside counsel – Manage complex legal questions and negotiations

• Support sales – Review redlines, negotiate terms, and accelerate deal closure

• Maintain legal documentation – Contract templates, playbooks, regulatory guides, and approval workflows

• Partner with Product – Translate regulatory trends into feature requirements

Who You Are

• A problem solver who sees legal work as a means to build, not just advise

• Intellectually curious about technology and excited to learn how a product works inside and out

• Detail-oriented and precise – your contracts and rule configurations are airtight

• A clear communicator who can explain legal concepts to non-legal teams

• Comfortable with ambiguity and competing priorities; you know how to triage

• Excited to work in a role that blends legal expertise with product impact

Who You'll Work With

You will work directly with Blee's leadership, implementation managers, and product team, with daily exposure to how legal and compliance requirements translate into software.

Requirements

• 3–5 years as an attorney

• JD from a top-ranked US law school

• Strong contract knowledge: NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, DPAs

• Experience managing multiple projects with strict deadlines

• Clear written communication of legal concepts to non-legal audiences

• Based in NYC & willing to come into the office 3 days a week
