We are looking for a Sr. Administrative Assistant to join Americans for Prosperity (AFP). We need a quick-thinking collaborator to support multiple leaders within the AFP policy team. Our goals are significant, and our organization moves quickly. We will tap into your problem-solving and organizational skills every day and look to you to help the leaders you support. You’ll support the team in making effective decisions about how they prioritize their time while ensuring steady progress and forward momentum.
- Calendar management. Prioritize a high volume of inquiries and requests while troubleshooting conflicts for multiple leaders and the broader team with a high level of attention to detail. Make timely judgments and provide scheduling recommendations grounded in strategic priorities, with a win-win mentality, to ensure smooth day-to-day engagements.
- Meeting preparation and participation. Assemble meeting agendas, record meeting minutes and notes, collect action items, and oversee A/V needs.
- General administrative support. Provide light event support, ad hoc project coordination, travel arrangement support, and general administrative tasks.
- Contribute to organization-wide initiatives, including operational improvements and cross-functional projects, as needed. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with limited direction by being entrepreneurial and innovative.
- Identify areas to increase efficiency and innovate to improve team processes. Keep an eye out for opportunities to help the policy team better support the organization’s goals. Identify and learn new tools or techniques to elevate the level of support and partnership that the entire policy team gives to its customers.
- Competitive benefits: Enjoy a 6% 401(k) match with immediate vesting, flexible time off, comprehensive health and dental plans, plus wellness and mental health support through Peloton and Talkspace.
- A meaningful career: Join a passionate community of over 1,300 employees dedicated to improving lives and driving innovative solutions to complex social challenges.
- Commitment to growth: Thrive in a non-hierarchical environment that empowers employees to discover, develop and apply their unique talents.
- Competitive compensation: Our approach rewards the value you create through competitive salaries and bonus opportunities, allowing you to share in the success you help drive.
