Be the technical backbone that keeps cutting-edge radar systems running flawlessly — solving complex challenges, empowering customers, and driving continuous product improvement from the front line!

As an S&S Systems Engineer, you will ensure smooth systems functionality and deliver technical solutions for customer inquiries, proactively addressing issues and enhancing products through performance analysis. You will provide tailored support through remote assistance and occasional client visits, acting as a key bridge between customers and internal teams. This role reports to the S&S Systems Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee database, systems, and server performance, conducting technical analysis, troubleshooting issues, managing updates, and monitoring system stability remotely for uptime and performance metrics.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance to ensure efficient and reliable operations.

  • Provide daily technical support to end users — including on-call coverage — focusing on software-hardware integration, diagnosing and resolving customer issues remotely, and supporting internal teams on radar system deployments and troubleshooting.

  • Perform first-line customer data analysis to uncover trends and patterns, working closely with internal teams to understand product limitations and resolve complex issues.

  • Share user feedback with Product and R&D teams to enhance user experience and contribute to ongoing product improvement.

  • Perform regular inspections and proactively address potential system issues using monitoring tools to detect and resolve vulnerabilities early.

  • Participate in product performance reviews with customers, identifying areas for improvement and taking action to resolve or escalate issues accordingly.

Requirements

  • BA or HBO degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of working experience in IT support roles, with emphasis on monitoring tools, database management systems, and hardware configuration and maintenance.

  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g. Linux, Ubuntu), networking protocols (VPNs), and scripting languages.

  • Affinity with radar systems and their operation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with creativity, attention to detail, and a structured approach to identifying issues and areas for improvement.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and stakeholders across all cultures and backgrounds.

  • Fluency in English; a basic level of Dutch is an asset.

  • Comfortable with an office-based role and available for occasional travel (up to 10%).

N.B. All applicants, we realize that this is quite the list and people come with various levels of experience. Don't be afraid to apply even if you feel you don't meet every desired skill. Our mission is a journey and there's plenty to learn on the way!
