The Creative Org defines how WHOOP is felt in the world. We are responsible for the physical manifestations of the brand, from hardware, bands, and accessories to collaborations, retail environments, pop-ups, and in-store moments. Working in close partnership across the company, we operate with high taste, deep craft, and exacting standards. This is a design team built on trust, candor, and a shared obsession with quality. We are empowered to initiate, to challenge, and to lead. Our mandate is simple and uncompromising: to deliver best-in-class design across every physical touchpoint and to make WHOOP unmistakable through clarity, restraint, and excellence

WHOOP is hiring an Industrial Designer II to contribute to the design and development of the WHOOP wearables ecosystem and related physical products. In this role, you will help bring thoughtful, high-quality products to life—from early concept through production—while contributing to a cohesive and elevated member experience. You are a detail-oriented designer with strong craft, a passion for physical products, and a desire to grow within a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.

### RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support Design Across Product Categories: Contribute to the design of wearables, bands, accessories, charging systems, and packaging, ensuring alignment with WHOOP’s product and brand standards.

  • Execute Concept Through Production: Assist in developing products from early ideation through prototyping, refinement, and production, maintaining design intent throughout the process.

  •  User-Centered Design Execution: Apply insights related to wearability, ergonomics, and user behavior to inform design decisions that improve comfort, durability, and performance.

  • Prototyping & Iteration: Create sketches, CAD models, and prototypes to explore and validate design concepts, fit, and usability.

  • Material & CMF Exploration: Support material selection, color, finish, and manufacturing approaches that align with performance, durability, and brand expression.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, hardware, apparel, and product marketing teams to support the development of cohesive product experiences.

  • ### QUALIFICATIONS:
  •  3–5 years of industrial design experience, preferably in consumer electronics, wearables, or softgoods.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating thoughtful design process, form development, and execution across physical products.

  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D design tools (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop, SolidWorks, KeyShot, or similar).

  • Experience with prototyping methods and an understanding of manufacturing processes and constraints.

  • Familiarity with materials, CMF, and designing for products worn on the body.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to clearly present ideas and design rationale.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and contribute effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.
