The Role
This is a unique opportunity to sit at the intersection of financial services expertise and artificial intelligence. As one of the team members in the product domain, you will bring your paraplanning knowledge directly into the build and refinement of AI-generated suitability reports and financial planning outputs.
You will not simply be testing technology — you will be shaping it. Your understanding of what good looks like in financial advice documentation will directly influence how our AI products are built, refined, and ultimately delivered to adviser firms across the country.
What You'll Do
Quality Assurance & Report Refinement
Test AI-generated suitability report outputs against FCA requirements, real-world adviser standards, and client clarity benchmarks
Document and categorise output issues with structured, actionable feedback for the product and development teams
Build and maintain an internal quality framework that defines what 'excellent' looks like across each report type
Run comparative reviews between report iterations to track improvement and identify regression
Product Development Collaboration
Provide support and insight during the build of new report types, contributing your paraplanning lens before outputs are finalised
Contribute to prompt design and output logic discussions — you are the voice of the adviser in the product room
Help create reference documentation and internal best practice guides for each product
Growing Into the Business
Develop full working knowledge across the entire product suite as new reports and tools are built
Begin to engage with the commercial and partnership teams as your product knowledge deepens
Take ownership of specific products or report types as a recognised internal specialist
Who You Are
Essential
Practising or recently practising paraplanner with hands-on experience writing suitability reports
Strong understanding of the FCA's suitability requirements and the components of a compliant, client-appropriate report
Genuine curiosity about AI and its application in financial services — you do not need to be technical, but you need to be genuinely interested
Excellent written communication skills — you can clearly articulate why something is not right, not just flag that it is not
Comfortable working in an iterative, test-and-learn environment where things evolve quickly
Desirable
Experience across multiple advice areas (protection, investments, pensions, later life planning)
Chartered status or working towards a relevant qualification (e.g. DipPFS, APFS, CII)
Experience working in a fast-moving or start-up environment
Any exposure to AI tools in a financial services context, even informally
