SteerBridge is seeking a Cybersecurity Technical Team Member (Cross-Functional) to support the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program. This role will serve as a key contributor to a Cyber Action Team, supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities and the development of Authority to Operate (ATO) and Authority to Connect (ATC) packages.
This is a hands-on role focused on cybersecurity documentation, risk analysis, and compliance within a federal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, review, and maintenance of ATO/ATC packages in alignment with RMF (NIST 800-37)
- Modify and enhance existing cybersecurity documentation and artifacts (e.g., SSPs, SARs, security control assessments)
- Track, manage, and update POA&Ms, escalating risks and vulnerabilities as needed
- Identify, document, and monitor cybersecurity risks and threats, providing actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with Cyber Action Team leads and stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal security standards
- Contribute to technical briefings and cybersecurity deliverables for leadership and clients
- Track project-level deliverables including artifacts, schedules, reports, and metrics
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of cybersecurity-related technical issues
- Operate independently under general direction while contributing to team objectives

### Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship or equivalent
Experience supporting RMF (Risk Management Framework) processes (NIST 800-37)
Hands-on experience with ATO/ATC package development or support
Experience working with POA&Ms and cybersecurity risk tracking
Experience developing or modifying cybersecurity artifacts (e.g., SSP, SAR, documentation packages)
Knowledge of NIST 800-53 security controls
Experience in a federal or government contracting environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including documentation and briefing support
Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
### Preferred Qualifications
Experience with eMASS
Familiarity with Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes
Experience supporting large-scale federal IT programs (VA, DoD, DHS, etc.)
Background in healthcare IT or EHRM programs
Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CAP, or similar)
4–7 years of relevant cybersecurity experience, with direct experience supporting RMF and ATO processes preferred
