Trilogy Federal is looking for a Part-Time EDI Focused Project Coordinator (20hrs/Week) with significant experience in healthcare data exchange processes. This ideal candidate will serve as project coordinator and provide support to VA Payer EDI product team by managing the intake, documentation, and resolution workflow for issues impacting VA’s Payer EDI operations. 

Please note, this position is contingent upon award (May/June 2026). 

### Primary Responsibilities:
  • Payer EDI initiative prioritization coordination: Hold daily meeting(s) with VA Payer EDI Program Lead and/or Payer EDI resources and support staff on status of EDI initiatives, or as required by VA Payer EDI. This includes updating Payer EDI initiative priorities, dates, and related information based on VA Program Lead direction or dependent initiative timelines and impacts. Updates will be made using a data dashboard or similar tool identified by VA Program Lead. Updates to priorities, dates, and other relevant information will be coordinated across all impacted stakeholders, including Payer EDI resources, supporting teams, technical teams, and business owners affected by impacted workflows, requirements, reporting and/or status updates: Weekly and/or as needed by VA Program Lead  
  • Payer EDI JIRA updates and coordination: Verify, update and/or coordinate Payer EDI JIRA initiative dates and priorities, generate reports, export JIRA boards and/or other content from EDI backlog workflow supporting tools for better visualization of priorities, dependencies, and aging items, as specified by VA Program Lead: once weekly  
  • Payer EDI project schedule creation, updating, maintenance and schedule communication: Create and maintain a Payer EDI project schedule and update it weekly. The schedule will track initiatives, dependencies, and roll-up groupings or themes. The schedule will track different business initiatives or directorate needs (e.g., CCN NG, VFMP modernization). The schedule will utilize MS Project format and include PDF and/or Excel format exports, as defined by VA Program Lead: One project schedule update weekly d.  
  • Project schedule integrity checks: Validate and/or update, as needed, MS Project schedules and milestones for EDI initiatives with OIT project leads and managers to ensure synchronization: once weekly  
  • Coordination with Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS) activity for CCN NG and VFMP modernization: identify EDI schedule tasks to be integrated into larger integrated master schedules (IMS) for CCN NG technical readiness and VFMP modernization efforts, and coordinate providing these tasks and updates to the schedulers maintaining those IMS: once weekly  
  • Backlog and pipeline Management to support strategic planning: Support VA Program Lead in backlog refinement sessions to ensure clarity and readiness for PI planning. This includes updating the Payer EDI 12-month and 5-year roadmaps, as specified by VA Program Lead: Monthly  
  • Attend Payer EDI development product calls organized by OIT development teams: Verify development progress, milestone completions, dependencies, risks, and changes to completion dates. Update and communicate changes to Payer EDI prioritizations and 12-month roadmap, as needed. Product calls are currently held every three weeks, although they may adjust to bi-weekly cadence.  
  • Change Log Management: Establish and manage a change log for the Payer EDI team. Track change requests along with changes to priorities, backlog items, and schedules, ensuring alignment with leadership directives: once weekly  
  • Program Increment (PI) Planning Preparation: Prepare agenda, briefing materials and summaries for PI pre-planning: Once per quarter; anticipated to account for 3 workdays  
  • Attend Payer EDI Program Increment (PI) planning activities to communicate Payer EDI priorities, roadmap, changes to the payer EDI requirements backlog, and changes to the Payer EDI project schedule: The PI meeting occurs once per quarter; the PI meeting and post-meeting activities, including a post-PI planning retrospective: Once per quarter; anticipated to account for 5 workdays  
  • Meeting notes and action items: Document all applicable meetings specific to planning, coordination, prioritization and scheduling (i.e., all tasks within this task order), to include summary level notes (key topics, decisions and action items). Distribute summaries to meeting participants and track action items to completion: once daily  
  • Work status reporting: Consolidate updates from daily meetings into a structured weekly report for VA Payer EDI Program Lead, to include accomplishments, KPIs, blockers, dependencies, risks, and next steps: once weekly and one end-of month roll-up   
  • ### Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Must have practical experience in the last year, with minimum of 5 years of project coordination experience, including at least 3 years supporting federal healthcare programs or large-scale EDI modernization initiatives.  
  • Expertise in EDI Standards (X12), transaction workflows and 
  • Experience managing project schedule alignment and coordinating dependencies across enterprise-level programs. 
  • Experience supporting system projects utilizing Agile development cadence, including Program Increment (PI) planning, backlog grooming, and JIRA-based workflow optimization  
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills  
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.  
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment. 
  • The ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.

  • PMP certification or certification in Healthcare EDI or Agile (SAFe, CSM). 
  • Previous experience working within VHA or other VA program offices supporting large-scale modernization or technical readiness initiatives
