Why we exist:
Swarmer develops software that makes drones autonomous and allows them to operate together, in large, coordinated teams — no pilots needed. Our technology has been battle-tested in Ukraine— the world’s most intense proving ground for drone warfare.
In March 2026, we became the first Ukrainian defense startup to go public on NASDAQ, following a $15M Series A — the largest investment in a Ukrainian defense tech company since the start of the war.
Working at Swarmer means operating at the intersection of engineering rigor and frontline reality. The problems and environments are complex, and the stakes are very real. We built this software to enable democratic nations to defend themselves.
If you are motivated by building resilient systems that matter and by seeing the direct impact of your work, you’ll find purpose here.
What we’re looking for:
As a People Operations Specialist, you will have real ownership over how people processes are designed and improved at Swarmer. You’ll shape processes like onboarding, offboarding, HRIS data management, and local compensation and benefits. You will ensure these processes are accurate, compliant, and scalable as the company grows.
You will work closely with the HR Director, gaining exposure to both operational and strategic HR topics. Over time, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of areas such as HR Business Partnership and contribute to building the HR function in Poland.
This is a great role for someone who is strong in building and improving processes, while also enjoys structured work, and is not afraid to roll up their sleeves. You will receive guidance from our HR Director, but we grant ownership and provide space for you suggesting smarter ways of doing things.
What you’ll do:
Together with the HR Director create and roll out policies and process improvements, to cater our team in Poland the best way
Own localized onboarding and offboarding (contracts, documents, accounts, checklists)
Administer local compensation and benefits enrollment
Maintain and improve employee data in HRIS (HiBob), ensuring accuracy and consistency
Ensure compliance of HR documentation and processes with local regulations
Be the first point of contact for employee HR-related questions
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and structure within People Operations
What we need:
2 - 4 years of experience in HR operations, HR coordination, generalist, or a similar role
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience working with HR systems (HiBob is a plus)
A proactive and solution-oriented mindset — you’re eager to learn, ask questions, and suggest improvements
The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively — you know when to take ownership and when to align with others
Motivation to develop further in People Operations and take on increasing ownership
What you’ll get:
Stable role in a fast-growing startup environment
Direct collaboration with an experienced HR Director
Opportunity to move from admin tasks into owning HR processes
Competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package (insurance, paid sick leave, 20 paid days off per year)
Flexible hybrid work model
How’s the hiring process going:
✔️ Intro Call → ✔️ Technical Interview → ✔️ Final Interview with HR Director and TA Lead → ✔️ Offer
Please note that, as a leading defense tech company, we take operations security seriously and may need to perform additional background checks as part of our hiring process. We will do so in accordance with all applicable EU laws and regulations and safeguard your data in the process.
About your future manager:
A few words from the person behind the title.
“Hello! My name is Olha. I bring 15 years of experience in HR within the IT sector, with a strong focus over the last 4 years on veterans’ reintegration.
I believe the HR function exists to support teams and leaders in becoming stronger and more autonomous — never as a substitute for leadership itself. To me, the role of a leader is to serve their teams.
I’m convinced that almost everything can be learned and mastered — except values, and the ability of the mind to think both systematically and flexibly. These are non-negotiables.
Outside of work, I’m an active member of my community, and I enjoy art, food, and good laughs. Your memes are safe with me.”
