About the Role
The role of the Senior Systems Support Analyst is to provide intermediate support to users, banking systems, software, asset register management, and all Information Technology owned infrastructure to ensure users and systems can continue to effectively service members. The incumbent will ensure all requests are logged in the IT Service Desk, act as an escalation in the IT Service Desk and may be required to provide after-hours support to users when business needs require it, inclusive of project works, assisting closely in the design and implementation of enterprise solutions and other tasks assigned by the Chief Information Officer or line managers’ within the expected timelines.
Cyber and data security must be considered paramount when undertaking tasks, and the Senior Systems Support Analyst must ensure that all works align with ITSM standards defined by the bank while maintaining a high degree of vigilance to ensure any data and assets are secured as defined in the ITSM standards. The Senior Systems Support Analyst will work with the IT Security Team in the collation and formulation of security reports, access reviews and implementation of cyber security solutions as required.
In addition to this, it is expected the Senior Systems Support Analyst will undertake all work assigned via the IT Service Desk system and/or reporting line managers, with the highest degree of professionalism and accountability. The role places a high degree of emphasis on the Banks cloud infrastructure and Core Banking System, and will require the Senior Systems Support Analyst to communicate, query, understand and translate user requirements into the required outcomes as necessary as well as continuously reviewing existing processes with the aim to improve or automate where possible, all within the policies, standards and frameworks defined by the business. The role also requires working closely with the IT Service Desk Team Leader in the formulation of relevant reports as required by the Bank, line manager or Chief Information Officer.
The Senior Systems Support Analyst is expected to continue to evolve their knowledge in general business IT functions with an understanding of service management frameworks such as ITIL, emphasis on Enterprise Cloud and Core Banking Systems, research and develop required role specific skills through self-learning, provide guidance and training to the Systems Support Analysts and undertake any business mandated trainings.

About you
This role is perfect if you have demonstrated application support and technical experience within the banking or financial services sector. You will be familiar with supporting banking systems at an intermediate level or equivalent systems, have advanced hands-on experience with Active Directory and cloud directory services, including appropriate scripting to achieve outcomes and be able to work with external suppliers to resolve issues when required. You must be willing to learn and work closely with a fast-paced team.
You will have excellent oral and verbal communication skills, the ability to think quickly to resolve technical issues using your own initiatives and prioritising work to meet deadlines to ensure you are successful in this role as well as experience remotely supporting a diverse user base in a multi-site environment.

Experience Required
You will have
- Relevant Information Technology degree/ diploma
- A minimum 3 years’ experience working in IT service desk support
- A minimum 3 years’ experience working within a financial services organisation or equivalent
- Knowledge of Core systems administration, incident/change management and user support
- Experience in a service/help desk role supporting ICT hardware, software, banking systems and processes, networks, and peripherals in an enterprise environment or financial sector
- Understanding of basic ITIL incident management concepts
- Experience in the installation and maintenance of Microsoft Windows operating systems (minimum Windows 10),
- Intermediate Systems Administration of Windows Servers, Active Directory - minimum Windows Server 2019), Microsoft Azure intermediate and various Microsoft Office software products
- Device management through centralised tools such as UEMS, Intune and other enteprise solutions.
- Experience in writing PowerShell scripts to derive data or implement changes, ensuring any credentials are encrypted and script actions logged.
