About Union
Pivovarna Laško Union (PLU) is the largest brewer and beverage producer in Slovenia. The company is fully owned by the Dutch international brewer The HEINEKEN Company and was established in 2016 through the merger of Pivovarna Laško and Pivovarna Union, inheriting over 200 years of Slovenian brewing tradition. PLU employs over 400 people, who continue to build on this proud heritage every day to ensure sustainable and balanced growth. Our portfolio includes three iconic beverage brands: Heineken, Laško and Union. In line with our Evergreen 2030 business strategy, we centre our efforts on accelerating growth, stepping up productivity and focusing on future-fit.
