About the Role

This Physical Therapist Director position offers a balanced mix of patient care, clinical leadership, and day-to-day clinic oversight. The role is ideal for a Physical Therapist who understands outpatient rehabilitation and wants to help both patients and staff succeed.

You will work with patients recovering from injuries, surgery, pain, balance concerns, and mobility limitations. You will also help the team stay aligned, organized, and focused on delivering consistent, high-quality care.

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate patients and identify clear treatment goals
• Create and update treatment plans based on patient progress
• Provide hands-on outpatient physical therapy services
• Lead clinical staff and assist with patient care questions
• Review care plans, progress notes, and discharge documentation
• Help manage clinic flow, scheduling needs, and team communication
• Maintain compliance with state, payer, and clinic requirements
• Build strong working relationships with patients, providers, and referral partners

Requirements

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Active Virginia Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one
• Outpatient physical therapy experience required
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or clinic management experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills
• Clear communication skills and a steady leadership style
