As the EMEA Merchandising Manager – you are responsible for shaping and delivering the regional merchandising strategy and go-to-market execution across Retail, Ecommerce, and Wholesale channels in EMEA.
You act as a key regional merchandising leader, partnering closely with both Global teams in Vancouver and local EMEA commercial teams to ensure regional consumer needs, market insights, and commercial priorities are effectively translated into seasonal assortments and execution plans.
You partner with our Merchandise Planning and Allocations (MP&A), Visual Merchandising and Commercial teams to align your category product strategies with the overall global merchandising direction, and you support our company goals by focusing on local consumer needs and brand opportunities to bring innovative solutions to market.
This role is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Candidates must to have the right to work in the country and withing EMEA.
Meet Your Future Team
The Merchant team is responsible for delivering regional, seasonal product assortments that support the overall Design creative direction and the regional merchandising strategy. In partnership with the Global Product Line Management (PLM) team, Merchants drive category-level sales, gross margin, and inventory productivity goals across both wholesale and vertical channels.
This high-performing team works closely with the Commercial, Global Product Line Management team (GPLM), Regional Marketing, Regional VM, Regional merchandise Planning and Allocations (MP&A) teams to create future seasonal line plans and to maximize in-season sales performance.
### If You Were the Manager Merchandising Women’s Apparel EMEA Now, Here Are Some of the Core Activities You Would Be Doing:
Creating successful short-term merchandising strategies (1–2 year plans) across your assigned categories and product areas, within the framework of the regional merchandising strategy
Building and overseeing the successful execution of the merchandising strategy for your product categories, translating strategic direction into actionable seasonal assortments
Contributing to the delivery of our 5-year brand vision through category-level execution, by achieving regional sales, gross margin, and inventory productivity targets in partnership with Commercial and MP&A teams
Partnering frequently with the Regional Commercial leadership team on category performance reviews, insights, and recommendations
Partnering with the Planning team to create strategic seasonal selling plans, including plans to grow, diminish, hold, exit, and launch product categories, as well as managing sell-through vs. sell-in dynamics
Collaborating closely with global GPLM teams to ensure that regional category needs, insights, and constraints are incorporated into the global line planning process
Providing category-level assortment frameworks and structures that support global product strategies, and guide merchant execution across retail, wholesale key accounts, and digital channels to maximize sales, profit, and brand consistency
Researching and analyzing the regional marketplace, identifying key consumer and market insights to inform concept development, product creation, and assortment decisions
Developing and delivering product and assortment presentations for key seasonal milestones, ensuring internal stakeholders are aligned on category strategies, priorities, and trade-offs
Maintaining effective partnerships with Visual Merchandising, Design, Development, Brand Marketing, and Colour teams to ensure seasonal strategies are brought to life consistently across all channels
Conducting quarterly market visits to gather consumer, competitive, and retail insights
Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the supply chain

Exploring new product categories , concept and extensions within the Women’s portfolio to help round out the complete mountain kit for our local guests
Maximizing the efficiency and profitability of category assortments across Ecommerce, WHSL, and retail distribution points, ensuring clear assortment clusters, channel differentiation, and commercial clarity
Partnering regional cross-functionally to shape retail merchandising strategy and lead regional go-to-market execution, including building and refining product calendars, stage gates, seasonal milestones, and retail readiness to successfully bring products to market
### Are You Our Next Manager Merchandising Women’s Apparel EMEA ?
You have 5+ years in Outdoor, Sports, or Premium Retail with hands‑on merchandising, buying, and commercial decision‑making across DTC and/or Wholesale.
You strongly understand European retail markets and can turn consumer and trend insights into commercial strategies.
You are fluent in retail math — sell‑through, margin, COGs, OTB, inventory, and data‑driven decisions.
You communicate clearly, present confidently, and stay highly organized across multiple priorities.
You lead through influence and collaboration, not authority — especially with Senior Merchants, MP&A, and VM.
You think strategically, execute pragmatically, and have contributed to multi‑year category or business strategies.
You know the outdoor and active apparel market and the activities our products serve.
You are willing to travel for trade shows, dealer meetings, market visits (twice per month) and, willing to travel to Global HQ- Vancouver, Canada on a fixed cadence (4 round trips per year to Vancouver to participate in key meetings).
You proactively identify risks and issues, diagnose root causes, and develop actionable solutions
You are adaptable and resilient when operating in ambiguous or evolving environments
