Job Summary
The Quality Control Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring quality compliance, inspection execution, and document control across industrial construction projects. This position combines QA/QC field inspection responsibilities with document management and project coordination, ensuring all quality records, inspections, and turnover packages are accurate, compliant, and audit ready.

This role collaborates closely with engineering, construction, fabrication, project controls, accounting, and project teams to support project delivery and close-out activities while maintaining alignment with company and industry quality standards.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Review documented inspections in accordance with drawings, specifications, and procedures
  • Review welding procedures and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ACI, AISC, NACE)
  • Assist with document creation of pressure testing plans and execution
  • Review documented NDE/NDT reports for compliance and turnover package creation
  • Provide training and guidance to inspectors and field personnel
  • Maintain documented weld maps and isometric tracking records
  • Organize, maintain, and archive project documentation and digital records
  • Ensure version control and accurate tracking of revisions across all documents
  • Compile and manage project turnover packages and final documentation
  • Support record keeping for inspection logs, quality records, and compliance reports
  • Ensure adherence to internal quality management systems and audit requirements
  • Enter and manage inspection and welding data into tracking systems
  • Assist with contract documentation and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate with accounting, QC, and production teams to resolve documentation issues
  • Support project close-out activities and audit readiness
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment on project deliverables and timelines

Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

  • 3–5+ years of experience in QA/QC, inspection, or document control within industrial or construction environments
  • Strong knowledge of document control for inspection processes
  • Experience with quality management systems and project documentation
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Familiarity with industry standards (ASME, AISC, AWS, API, ISO etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and document management systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred

  • Experience with NDT methods and reporting
  • Experience supporting industrial construction or fabrication projects

Work Environment:

  • Combination of field (industrial job sites, fabrication shops) and office-based work
  • Exposure to outdoor environments, noise, dust, and varying weather conditions
  • Ability to comply with PPE requirements and safety regulations
  • Occasional travel may be required (~10%)

This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
