Senior Finance M&A Analyst Nofar USA / Blue Sky Utility — U.S. Solar & BESS Fort Lauderdale, FL · Hybrid · Full-time

The Opportunity

We're Nofar USA / Blue Sky Utility — one of the fastest-growing developers of utility-scale solar and battery storage in the U.S. As we scale our portfolio through acquisitions and project finance capital raises, we need a sharp analyst who can sit at the center of both.

This isn't a support role. You'll build the models that drive our investment decisions, structure our bid strategy, and get in front of banks and tax equity investors directly. You'll work closely with our Senior Director and transactions team — in a lean, fast-moving environment where your analysis shapes outcomes.

This is a HYBRID role. Candidates outside of a commutable distance to Fort Lauderdale will not be selected.

What You'll Own

M&A & Transactions

  • Build acquisition models with levered/unlevered IRR, NPV, and MOIC outputs; stress-test alternative financing structures (tax equity, sale-leaseback, pref equity + back leverage) to inform bid strategy
  • Conduct first-pass screening and prepare go/no-go investment memos for leadership
  • Analyze PPA and offtake economics including basis differentials, curtailment, REC value, and capacity payments across major ISOs
  • Produce NBI submissions, term sheet analyses, and counterproposal frameworks under competitive process timelines
  • Prepare board decks and investment committee packages for acquisitions and dispositions

Project Finance & Capital Raises

  • Build and maintain standalone project finance models for active capital raises — revenue, opex, capex, depreciation, and tax credit assumptions aligned with the team's quarterly framework
  • Model and compare structures: partnership flip tax equity, sale-leaseback (Section 467), inverted lease, pref equity, construction-to-term debt, and back leverage
  • Size debt facilities via DSCR analysis across P50/P99 scenarios and lender-specific covenant packages
  • Model ITC/PTC economics including FMV step-up, DRO sizing, flip timing, and cash/income allocation waterfalls
  • Prepare lender and tax equity presentations; manage diligence responses and live deal model updates

Market & Commercial Intelligence

  • Monitor power market data, merchant price curves, PPA pricing, and tax equity market conditions across ERCOT, PJM, NYISO, MISO, SERC, and CAISO
  • Evaluate domestic content, energy community eligibility, and IRA-era ITC/PTC adder applicability for pipeline projects
  • Analyze comparable transactions and precedent M&A multiples to support valuation positions
  • Contribute to quarterly assumption reviews — discount rates, merchant haircuts, O&M benchmarks, financing terms

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Required

  • Working knowledge of tax equity structures (partnership flip, sale-leaseback, inverted lease) and their impact on project and sponsor-level returns
  • Familiarity with debt sizing mechanics: DSCR sculpting, cash sweep, reserve accounts
  • Understanding of IRA-era ITC/PTC provisions — domestic content, energy community, prevailing wage, and bonus credit qualification
