Software Developer - RF-SMART for NetSuite
Highlands Ranch, CO (Onsite/Hybrid schedule)
We Exist to Transform our Customers and Change Lives

The Opportunity

As a Software Engineer at RF-SMART, you will build software that powers the operations of companies across the globe — and you'll see the real-world impact of your code in action. You'll work within our NetSuite product team to design, develop, and deliver solutions that solve complex inventory and manufacturing challenges for our customers. Partnering with product managers, designers, and QA professionals, you'll take features from concept to customer, contributing directly to RF-SMART's mission of transforming how businesses manage their supply chains. This is a role for an engineer who is ready to take on increasing ownership, grow their craft, and make a measurable difference — not just ship code.

What You'll Do

  • Build scalable, reliable software using modern languages, frameworks, and cloud platforms — creating solutions that hold up under real warehouse conditions
  • Translate user and business requirements into functional, efficient applications that solve real problems for RF-SMART customers
  • Own quality through rigorous testing — writing unit and integration tests, debugging proactively, and holding your code to a high standard before it ever reaches a customer
  • Partner across teams — collaborating with product managers, designers, and QA to ensure features are delivered on time, on spec, and in alignment with customer needs
  • Enhance and maintain existing applications by troubleshooting issues, applying patches, and continuously improving what we've already built
  • Drive two key product milestones within your first 12 months:
    • Define and deliver Catch Weight functionality to at least two beta customers
    • Define and deliver One-to-Many / Co-Products / By-Products to at least two beta customers
  • Document your work thoroughly — from code comments to technical specs — so your teammates and future maintainers can build on what you create

What You'll Need to Bring on Day One

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a track record of delivering increasingly complex solutions
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C#, Python) and comfort learning others
  • Experience with application testing — unit testing, integration testing, and debugging — and a genuine commitment to code quality
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including non-technical stakeholders, to deliver software that meets real user needs
  • Comfort working under moderate supervision with increasing independence. Conducts work assignments of increasing complexity, under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

What Will Set You Apart

  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP/WMS platforms — you understand how inventory and manufacturing workflow’s function
  • Familiarity with cloud application development (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and distributed systems
  • Exposure to Catch Weight, Co-Products, By-Products, or manufacturing execution concepts — either through prior engineering work or domain knowledge
  • Experience contributing to a beta release program and managing the feedback loop with early customers

Why RF-SMART

Your work on Catch Weight and Co-Products features will shape the product roadmap and put solutions in the hands of real customers within your first year. That's not a distant promise — it's built right into this role.
