This role exists because documentation is a key driver of product adoption, operational efficiency, and customer success. The Senior Technical Writer will be the documentation lead—ensuring that complex systems, workflows, and features are translated into clear, user-friendly content while driving the strategic direction of our documentation program. This person will be a trusted partner to the Learning & Development Manager: someone to lean on, think alongside, and count on to drive results independently.
What you’ll manage:
We’re looking for a Technical Writer who will own the creation, organization, and continuous improvement of Neostella’s We’re looking for a Senior Technical Writer who will own and lead Neostella’s documentation ecosystem. Beyond producing high-quality content across help centers, SOPs, workflows, release notes, and training materials, you will lead the documentation function: setting standards, mentoring the Technical Writer on your team, driving timelines, and making strategic decisions about content architecture and priorities of Neostella’s documentation ecosystem. You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality content across help centers, SOPs, workflows, release notes, and training materials.
You’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Support, CX, QA, and Training teams to ensure documentation aligns with product functionality and business goals. This role requires strong writing skills, deep technical understanding, and leadership—someone who can interpret system behavior, identify gaps, deliver accurate and actionable content, and empower others to do the same.
Beyond writing, you will build and own scalable documentation frameworks, define and enforce quality standards, lead cross-functional discovery sessions, and ensure our documentation program evolves strategically alongside the product. You are the person who ensures the team delivers on time, on standard, and on point.

Key Responsibilities:
You’ll own documentation strategy, leadership, creation, and optimization across Neostella’s platform:
- Lead and own the documentation program: define priorities, set quality standards, and ensure the team delivers on time and on standard
- Create and maintain high-quality documentation including user guides, help center articles, SOPs, workflows, FAQs, and release notes
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and audience-appropriate content
- Mentor, guide, and support the Technical Writer on the team: conduct reviews, provide feedback, and ensure alignment with documentation standards
- Lead discovery sessions with Product, Engineering, CX, and QA teams, and drive decision-making on documentation scope and priorities
- Own documentation governance: style guides, templates, naming conventions, version control, and publishing workflows
- Interpret technical requirements such as user stories, mockups, system specifications, and APIs
- Apply deep SDLC knowledge to accurately document features, workflows, integrations, and system behavior
- Identify inconsistencies, edge cases, and gaps across documentation and product, and communicate findings proactively to stakeholders
- Analyze content performance metrics, user feedback, and support ticket trends to drive continuous improvement of documentation effectiveness
- Build and maintain scalable documentation frameworks, information architecture, and content standardization across all deliverables
- Manage team timelines and ensure documentation deliverables align with product release schedules
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between documentation, product goals, and business objectives, representing the documentation function in strategic discussions
- Manage and publish content using CMS and help center platforms (Zendesk, Confluence, Google Workspace)
- Propose and implement process improvements: new tools, workflows, automation, and content strategies that improve team efficiency and output quality
- Create supporting multimedia content such as videos, diagrams, interactive tutorials, and visual aids when needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 4+ years of experience as a Technical Writer in SaaS or technology environments, with demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), software systems, integrations, workflows, and APIs
- Proven ability to translate technical information into clear, user-focused content for diverse audiences, and to coach others to do the same
- Experience building and enforcing documentation frameworks, style guides, governance processes, and content standardization
- Proficiency with documentation tools (Google Docs, Zendesk, Confluence, CMS platforms) and experience managing content publishing workflows
- Strong experience with Jira, GitHub, or similar project management tools for tracking documentation deliverables
