Early career hiring has been a strategic enabler of our growth for 10+ years. The Head of Early Talent Recruiting for MongoDB is a key role on our Talent Acquisition team and an opportunity to lead a world-class global early career hiring program and scale it to support the company’s growth ambitions.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our global early career hiring and programs. Employer branding on campus to execute our summer internship program and onboarding new graduates across all functions globally. This role reports to the Director of Talent Acquisition and sits on the Extended Talent Acquisition Leadership Team.
In-office/flexible/remote compatible roles: This role can be based out of our offices or work remotely.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead and operationalize MongoDB’s approach to early career hiring. Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to the leadership team on global campus talent acquisition strategy
- People Management: Manage, grow, and develop a high-performing team of Recruiters and Program Coordinators
- Modernized Recruitment & AI Leverage: Drive efficiency and innovation in the recruitment pipeline. Champion the use of emerging technologies and AI tools to optimize high-volume sourcing, automate repetitive tasks, and scale candidate engagement without sacrificing the human touch
- University Partnerships: Oversee strategic relationships with university career centers and faculty. Analyze performance data at core schools to build data-driven recommendations for future recruiting cycles
- End-to-End Execution: Oversee the campus recruiting lifecycle, including creative recruitment events, interview loops, and candidate experience
- Internship Program Excellence: Drive the execution of MongoDB’s summer internship programs to ensure maximum engagement, professional development, and high conversion-to-offer rates
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with senior business stakeholders, Finance, HR, and Employer Branding to continually develop, execute, and enhance campus initiatives
Ideal candidate would have:
- 8+ years of campus recruiting experience, with a desire and passion to grow in that space while learning new skills to become a more well-rounded talent acquisition expert
- 4+ years of people management experience, with a track record of coaching and developing recruiting teams
- You don't just follow a standard campus playbook. You bring creative, out-of-the-box ideas to employer branding and event execution, paired with strong program management skills
- Comfort experimenting with AI-driven talent acquisition tools to streamline workflows and analyze recruitment data
- Confidence and flexibility to manage interactions with senior stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and diverse candidate pools across regions
- Comfortable balancing long-term strategic initiatives with the high-volume operational tasks typical of campus cycles

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings.
