About Us
QuantWare is building the world’s most powerful quantum processors to solve humanity's greatest challenges. We do this with our unique VIO™ technology, the only QPU architecture that breaks the hardware barriers that have held quantum computing back, unlocking the path to MegaQubit quantum processors.
With VIO, we are paving the way for the hyper-scale quantum computers that will change the world. And delivering on that vision demands people who don’t shy away from tackling the hardest challenges of our time. That’s where you come in!
As our new Financial Accountant, you won’t just be crunching numbers - you will be a vital pillar of a lean, high-impact three-person finance team, working alongside our Finance Manager and a Financial Controller (who aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and dive into the operational work with you).
Because we handle multiple administrations, numerous audits, and subsidy tracking, this role requires someone who can work fast, stay organized, and maintain high accuracy under tight timelines. This is an exceptional opportunity to handle a diverse ledger portfolio, take on real ownership, and rapidly develop your expertise in a supportive, collaborative environment.
What you'll be doing
Operational Administration
Efficient Bookkeeping: Take full responsibility for the day-to-day financial tasks across multiple companies, working efficiently to manage accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and hour-recording tracking.
Intercompany & Tax: Handle intercompany reconciliations and prepare VAT declarations for the different entities.
Proactive Month-End Close: Drive the monthly close process forward at a steady pace for your assigned companies, ensuring all financial data is accurate, up-to-date, and ready for review by the Controller and Manager.
Audit Participation & Annual Reporting
Audit Facilitation: Play a proactive, hands-on role in our numerous internal, external, and fiscal financial audits, serving as a reliable and responsive point of contact for auditors.
Documentation & Evidence: Swiftly gather, organize, and verify financial evidence and schedules required to ensure smooth, efficient audit cycles across our companies.
Year-End Support: Collaborate closely with the team to prepare the annual reports.
Subsidy Grant Accounting
Grant Tracking & Compliance: Support the financial administration and project managers to track our subsidy grant portfolio, ensuring expenditures are accurately allocated to specific projects.
Subsidy Audits: Maintain pristine documentation and audit trails specifically for subsidy-related reviews to ensure compliance with grant requirements.
Your Profile
Experience & Knowledge
Years of Value: You have 2–4 years of experience in an all-round financial accounting or administrative role.
Multi-Company Exposure: Experience working with multiple entities or a multi-company structure is a plus.
Audit & Systems: You have practical exposure to audit preparations, solid Excel skills (intermediate level), and are comfortable navigating financial software.
Language Skills
English: Fluent (written and spoken) to easily collaborate with our diverse team.
Dutch: At least a working/basic understanding is required to independently process Dutch documentation, tax documents, and local invoices.
Soft Skills & Traits
Fast-Paced & Productive: You are a quick worker who can manage your time effectively, switch contexts between different companies easily, and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
Meticulous & Organized: You have a keen eye for detail and a structured way of working - essential for handling multiple administrations and rigorous audits.
Friendly but Firm: You are approachable and collaborative, but you can confidently stand your ground when enforcing financial deadlines or compliance policies across departments.
Agile & Proactive: You thrive in a dynamic environment and are eager to learn and grow alongside a small, dedicated team.
