About the role
We’re looking for an Endpoint Compliance Team Lead to guide a team of endpoint compliance specialists delivering a market-leading approach to endpoint security and vulnerability management across our managed services customer base.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is technically strong, operationally disciplined, and confident leading a team in a fast-paced environment. You’ll set direction, manage priorities, drive accountability, and ensure work is delivered safely, consistently, and to a high standard — with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
You’ll need to balance technical details with clear communication, structured execution, and strong people leadership.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Maintain a centralised software list of supported applications across the customer base.
- Ensure the team stays across emerging threats and vulnerabilities, including malware, OS vulnerabilities, and application vulnerabilities.
- Lead delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused vulnerability management service that consistently meets compliance and service expectations.
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of endpoint compliance engineers.
- Proactively monitor and report on patch deployment across Windows and macOS fleets.
- Ensure monthly customer reporting is delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Cross-reference device data repositories to ensure consistency across all platforms and tools.
- Ensure OS, Microsoft 365 Apps, browser, security, and third-party application patches are deployed to agreed compliance targets.
- Monitor patch compliance, identify gaps, and drive remediation activity.
- Support zero-day, urgent, and out-of-band patch response activities.
- Maintain patching schedules, deployment rings, exception handling, and reporting.
- Work closely with service owners, security teams, customer teams, and operational stakeholders.
- Review and improve patch deployment processes, controls, documentation, and reporting.
- Coach engineers, allocate work, set expectations, and support performance development.
- Provide clear updates to management on risk, progress, blockers, and compliance outcomes.
About you
- You are a confident technical leader who can guide engineers, make informed decisions, and keep delivery on track. You’re highly organised, calm under pressure, and comfortable owning outcomes.
- You will also bring:
- Strong technical leadership experience in an endpoint, desktop engineering, compliance, or operations environment.
- Solid knowledge of endpoint patching and device compliance practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and/or MECM/SCCM.
- Exposure to Patch My PC or similar third-party application patching tools is an advantage.
- Experience supporting both Windows and macOS environments.
- Understanding of deployment rings, phased rollouts, compliance reporting, exceptions, and remediation workflows.
- Ability to interpret compliance data and turn it into action.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A structured, practical, and outcome-focused approach.
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
- A collaborative style and the ability to work effectively with security, service owners, customer teams, and operational stakeholders.
Desirable experience
- Experience in any of the following would be beneficial:
- Microsoft Intune patching and update rings
- MECM software update management
- Patch My PC catalogue, publishing, and deployment workflows
- Windows Autopatch
- Microsoft Defender update compliance
- macOS patching and application update management
- ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms
- Compliance reporting, audit support, and operational dashboards
- Managed services or multi-customer environments
Why this role matters
