About The Role

This role serves as a lead subject matter expert responsible for day-to-day management and operation of NetSuite. In addition, this role will be pivotal in ensuring seamless data flow across various sources to storage and analysis systems, thereby enabling informed-decision making and operational efficiency. This role involves designing, developing, and managing sensitive, confidential and proprietary data integration solutions to harness data as a strategic asset, ultimately driving innovation and efficiency within the organization.

This role will ensure NetSuite configuration, SuiteScripts, and third-party bundles/SuiteApps (e.g., Nolan, OCR, etc.) operate reliably in support of critical Finance processes, as well as manage integration with other third-party applications (e.g., Salesforce, Tipalti, US Bank, Expensify, Addepar, etc.). The Engineer partners with stakeholders across Finance, Advisors, and IT to validate data integrity, troubleshoot integrations and operational issues, and enable scalable reporting in NetSuite and NetSuite Analytics Warehouse (NSAW). The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on NetSuite administration and development experience plus strong integration-platform (iPaaS/ETL) capability to keep business-critical system flows running smoothly.

What you will Do

NetSuite/NSAW Operations (35%)

  • Ensure data integrity, workflow, SuiteScripts, CSV imports, file cabinets, reports, save searches, roles/permissions, forms, and custom records.

  • Develop and update detailed documentations and operational procedures for any workflow and customizations, including mapping files, test cases, operational runbooks/workbooks, transformation logic, assumptions, dependencies, and reconciliation approach, to ensure consistent execution and auditability.

  • Advance bundle lifecycle management (install/upgrade/configure), validate scheduled processes, and ensure sandbox and production environments remain release-ready.

  • Extract and migrate required historical data for audit/compliance and operational continuity (including transactions and balances needed for Finance).

  • Build and validating financial and operational reports in NSAW and NetSuite (saved searches, reports, dashboards).

  • Manage day-to-day NetSuite/NSAW production issues, leverage internal & external resources (ACS, NetSuite Premium Support) to solve the issues, apply appropriate escalation/communications when needed.

  • Closely interface with the stakeholders who submit the production issues, and provide timely response and resolutions.

  • Document defects, root causes, and remediation steps; recommend solutions and confirm fixes with stakeholders.

  • Meet the SLA target – review key production issues and SLA dashboard with Finance stakeholders weekly.

  • Maintain security of confidential and proprietary information.

System Enhancements (20%)

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities, and create, test, and execute those opportunities to streamline financial processes.

  • For any new changes, conduct regression testing to ensure no functionality is broken during iterative data loads, bundle updates, or configuration changes.

  • Leverage AI on NetSuite/NSAW to enable operational efficiency – provide internal awareness and training on how to leverage AI for financial efficiency.

Integration with Third-Party Systems (25%)

  • Implement system changes required to support integration with NetSuite, examples include but not limited to: Salesforce, AP Automation (Tipalti), ADP, US Bank, Addepar, etc.).

  • Partner with integration/iPaaS owners to create/validate mappings, schedules, error handling, monitoring, and reprocessing (including log review and remediation).

  • Document integration mappings, dependencies, and operational runbooks to support knowledge transfer and ongoing support.

  • Provide test cases and evidence that support automation of manual processes and strengthen controls across the order-to-cash lifecycle.

  • Lead testing and troubleshooting of NetSuite integrations to ensure accurate syncing of customer records, contacts/locations, products, opportunities/assets, subscriptions/subscription items, orders, invoices, payments, and tickets/cases.

  • Review and troubleshoot execution/integration logs; take ownership of issues through resolution with internal teams and vendors.

ERP Integrations and NetSuite Ecosystem (20%)

  • As a subject matter expert, maintain a strong understanding of ERP integration patterns and data flows, with a primary focus on NetSuite and its connected SuiteApps and third-party systems.

  • Apply integration knowledge across platforms including, but not limited to, Nolan, PyanGo, Expensify, and Gappify, understanding how each exchanges data with NetSuite and the broader business ecosystem.

  • Monitor, review, and troubleshoot integration and execution logs across systems; take ownership of issue resolution from identification through closure, partnering with internal teams and external vendors as needed.

What you will Bring

  • Deep NetSuite administration and development experience (roles/permissions, workflows, forms, custom records, saved searches/reports/dashboards, and SuiteScript).

  • Strong capability to analyze data, identify patterns, trends, and relationships, and translate findings into actionable data integration strategies.

  • Demonstrated track record in solutions design, specifically designing, developing, testing, and deploying data integration solutions that meet business needs and technical specifications.

  • Strong understanding of Finance operations—especially Billing & Collections—and the ability to translate requirements into secure, maintainable NetSuite solutions.

  • Proven integration and troubleshooting skills across NetSuite and enterprise systems (e.g., CRM and support platforms), including log analysis and end-to-end issue ownership.

  • Hands-on experience with integration/iPaaS and ETL patterns and tools (e.g., integration middleware, connectors, and data pipelines) and strong comfort working with APIs and data mappings.

  • NetSuite release/change readiness, including bundle management (SuiteBundler), configuration governance, and environment validation.Hands-on data migration expertise: mapping/workbooks, CSV imports, trial/mock loads, delta loads, cutover support, and post-load validation.

  • Strong data quality and reconciliation capabilities (deduplication, reference validation, record counts, and GL/trial balance tie-outs) and ability to facilitate business signoff.

  • Testing leadership across workflows, SuiteScripts, customizations, and third-party bundles; ability to define best practices and drive regression coverage.

  • Reporting enablement experience in NetSuite and NSAW to support Finance and operational stakeholders.

  • Strong documentation, training, and stakeholder communication skills for knowledge transfer and operational readiness.

Ideal Experience

  • 6 years of progressive or direct experience in software development/enterprise applications with NetSuite administration and development expertise or a relevant bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent disciplines; or 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience supporting Finance teams (Billing + Accounts Payable) and integrating NetSuite with systems such as Salesforce and Accounts Payable platforms, strong preferred.

Work Environment

  • Stationary worksite environment. Daily activities consist of being frequently seated and/or standing, with minor movement, exposure to a computer screen, use of in office equipment.​

  • May occasionally be required to lift up to 10 pounds​

  • This role will NOT require travel more than 2x per year.​

 

Supervision

Works independently with moderate oversight. Receives strategic direction and guidelines rather than instruction on approaches.

Decisions may commit resources within the assigned program or area and require broad interpretation of policies, procedures, and guidance to determine strategies. Recommendations influences strategies and approaches at the functional or departmental level.
