Job Summary
An established outpatient physical therapy office in Winchester, VA is seeking a Physical Therapist Director to oversee clinical operations and provide high-quality rehabilitative care. This role is responsible for leading the therapy team, maintaining clinical standards, and ensuring patients receive effective treatment plans that support recovery, mobility, strength, and long-term function.
The ideal candidate is a licensed Physical Therapist with strong outpatient experience and the ability to balance patient care, team leadership, and daily clinic management.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Treat patients with orthopedic, post-surgical, mobility, and musculoskeletal conditions
- Oversee daily clinical operations within the outpatient therapy office
- Supervise therapists, assistants, and support staff as assigned
- Monitor patient outcomes, documentation quality, and compliance standards
- Support staff training, clinical decision-making, and performance improvement
- Help maintain efficient patient flow, scheduling, and clinic productivity
Requirements
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Physical Therapist license in Virginia or eligibility to obtain one
- Outpatient physical therapy experience required
- Prior leadership, clinic management, or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong clinical reasoning, documentation, and communication skills
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
