Description
Join our fast-paced and passionate team as a Senior Warehouse & Facilities Manager. As we scale our quantum photonics infrastructure, you will be instrumental in building our physical foundation from the ground up. This is a dynamic, hands-on role for a self-starter who thrives in a fluid startup environment. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of our inventory, shipping, and receiving, while scaling our laboratory environment to support cutting-edge engineering. You will work closely with leadership, supply chain, and engineering teams to implement operational practices that support our mission and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse & Logistics: Direct all day-to-day warehouse operations, including domestic and international shipping, freight receiving, inventory control, and secure material storage.
- Parts Inspection & Quality: Establish and execute incoming quality control (IQC) protocols, inspecting incoming high-precision mechanical, optical, and electronic components against specification sheets.
- Parts Cleaning & Prep: Manage cleanroom-adjacent and laboratory parts cleaning stations, ensuring sensitive hardware is processed, degreased, and packaged according to strict contamination-control standards.
- Laboratory Management: Oversee day-to-day facilities and lab environments, including gowning areas, to ensure workspaces are safe, stocked, organized, and compliant with safety guidelines.
- Space Optimization: Setup layouts, optimize physical storage density, and build scalable asset-tracking procedures to transition seamlessly from R&D prototyping to volume production.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to optimize part availability, resolve shipping discrepancies, and overcommunicate status updates across teams.
Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in warehouse management, shipping/receiving, or logistics operations, ideally within an aerospace, semiconductor, hardware startup, or high-tech engineering company.
- Hands-on Logistics: Proven expertise handling fragile high-value technology components, coordinating freight, and utilizing inventory databases or ERP systems.
- Technical Detail: Experience with basic inspection tools (calipers, microscopes) and a solid understanding of cleanroom protocols, chemical safety, or precision hardware cleaning techniques.
- Startup Mindset: Ability to operate independently in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, building processes where none previously existed.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate warehouse equipment safely, and remain active on your feet within the lab and warehouse spaces.
- Legal Authorization: Employment is contingent upon the applicant being a U.S. person as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3).
