We’re looking for a Senior Research Manager, Consumer to join our London team. In this role, you’ll lead a team of researchers across global markets to turn complex user insights into product strategies, while building the AI-powered research tools of the future.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the global Research team, which sits within Studio—our design community that builds experiences for our audiences across the DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Wolt brands. Centred in our London office, your team will span the end-to-end consumer experience across 40+ international markets, balancing our core business with 0-to-1 new bets.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Lead and develop talent: Hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of senior researchers, fostering an environment where they can deliver their best work.

  • Drive product strategy: Partner closely with Design, Product Management, and Strategy leaders to turn ambiguous user problems into insights that move core product metrics.

  • Build AI-native research systems: Architect and scale the tooling your team runs on—including prompt libraries, evaluation pipelines, and automated workflows—to multiply team leverage.

  • Stay close to the craft: Actively lead and build complex, multi-method research projects alongside your team rather than just reviewing their work from a distance.

  • Operationalise knowledge: Write clear documentation, onboard cross-functional teams to new research systems, and iterate on processes based on real feedback.



What You’ll Need to Thrive

Essential

  • Proven leadership capability: Significant experience hiring, managing, and developing senior researchers within high-performing teams.

  • Mastery of the research craft: Deep and wide expertise across qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, tools, and analyses.

  • Strategic cross-functional partnership: Proven ability to build trusted relationships with Design, Product, and Strategy leaders to influence long-term product roadmaps.

  • A leverage-first mindset: Demonstrated success building systems, frameworks, or tools that scale research impact across an entire business unit.

  • Comfort with ambiguity: Exceptional ability to navigate fast-moving, dynamic environments and bring structure to complex problem spaces.



Nice to Have

  • Marketplace experience: Experience working within high-growth consumer tech or complex, three-sided marketplace environments.

  • AI tooling familiarity: Practical experience building or implementing LLM-powered tools, prompt workflows, or automated research pipelines.
