ACCEL Schools is seeking a Facilities Coordinator in the Cincinnati/Dayton region. This individual will support a variety of facilities and operational activities.

The Facilities Coordinator reports to the Sr Director of Procurement & Facilities and works collaboratively with other members of the Operations team to support our schools.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily maintenance and repair activities for the school properties.
  • Prioritize tasks to respond with the appropriate urgency as issues arise.
  • Coordinate resources to maintain school facilities in clean and safe conditions.
  • Visit schools for evaluation of contractor performance and to support school staff.
  • Develop effective supplier relationships.
  • Coordinate sourcing and bidding for annual contracts, service agreements and projects.
  • Assist in operations related activities in support of schools and other properties.
  • Management of various other projects as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with school staff, management, and suppliers.

Administrative functions:

  • Adding and updating information in the maintenance management system.
  • Coordinating documentation related to facilities maintenance activities and assets.
  • Creating and managing facilities related schedules and records.
  • Request purchase orders for facilities related services and supplies.
  • Assist in project bid development and vendor selection.
  • Administration of facilities related contracts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience operating and learning to use computer-based systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Professional, punctual and self-motivated.
  • Experience with basic project management processes.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent.
  • Prior maintenance management experience.
  • Experience using a facilities management system (CMMS).
  • Experience working in an education setting.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $60,000 – $80,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
