The Role:
Razorpay, a leading fintech company expanding its operations in the United States and is seeking an exceptional candidate to join as Financial Partnerships Manager, US. This role will be a foundational hire for Razorpay in the region, responsible for building and managing sponsor bank relationships, help accelerate the 0-1 journey for the market and partnering with the US GTM team + India-based product team to build out the operating rails for delivering exceptional products.
As the Financial Partnerships lead, the candidate will be responsible for setting up and scaling Razorpay’s acquiring relationships in the region
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Key team member responsible for developing a portfolio of acquirer relationships to power local acquiring, with a primary focus on
- Partnering with PayFacs to support new use-cases
- Partnering with banks to drive deeper integrations into the Payment Facilitator model
- Managing relationships with card brands (Visa/Amex/Discover/Mastercard) and bank (NACHA/FEDNOW) networks.
- Drive stakeholder engagement across the region with banks/PayFacs/Networks to develop Razorpay’s relationships in the region.
- Identification of broader partnership opportunities within existing/new banking relationships.
- Liaising with other cross-functional teams like Solutions, Product etc. to ensure that we deliver on required customizations as required by Bank partners
- Define and own metrics for monitoring the performance & the effectiveness of existing alliances
- Facilitate seamless onboarding of Razorpay as a Vendor / Customer in the bank’s ecosystem as well as ensure set-up on system and its complete alignment across departments
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including business, leadership, strategy, marketing, and design teams to ensure seamless execution of business launch and scale-up
- Ecosystem collaboration: Self-starter to identify and collaborate with ecosystem players to discover and co-build products for the market (Fintechs, Banks, Partners, etc)

About you:
A partnerships expert with experience in the payments industry, preferably having managed partnerships with Financial Institutions including banks, schemes, payment methods, as well as other fintechs in the ecosystem.
You have experience working in both big organizations as well as fast-growing startups, and hence have the knowledge and experience in putting in place processes and structure, while remaining flexible and creative in ensuring they are effective and relevant for the business. You are resourceful, action-oriented, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- At least 6-8 years of experience in a similar role in fintech/technology cos or top-tier strategy/management consulting
- Established and existing network with banks (public + private) and networks in US
- High energy team player with willingness to learn and adapt quickly
- Energetic self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with proven track record of creating and executing partnerships/alliances
- Ability to run technical conversations with the bank to drive problem discovery
- Analytical capability to deal with the technical, contractual and financial aspects of the business.
- Ability to effectively think strategically and influence cross-functional teams, such as Solutions, Product, Operations
- Willingness to travel regionally to meet with banks/large partners
