This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Occupational Therapist to become a vital part of a well-established clinic in Traralgon VIC.
You will be joining a supportive multidisciplinary environment alongside other allied health professionals, with the backing of an established organisation that genuinely values collaboration and long-term growth.
Because this is a newly created position, there is significant flexibility to help structure your workflow, caseload and day-to-day routine in a way that works well for both you and the clinic. The clinic manager is very approachable, open-minded and receptive to suggestions, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy and would like to help build something meaningful from the ground up.
Over time, there may also be the opportunity to assist with mentoring or supervising future Occupational Therapists as the service continues to grow, although this is entirely optional and not a requirement of the role.
About the Role
You will be working across a mixed caseload and therefore must be comfortable operating as a generalist Occupational Therapist.
The caseload is expected to include a combination of:
- Adults and paediatrics
- Community and clinic-based work
- Functional and general OT assessments
- A broad range of presentations and conditions
You may occasionally be required to travel outside the clinic for community visits, schools, aged care facilities or client appointments, therefore a driver’s licence will be required.
This role would suit an Occupational Therapist who:
- Enjoys autonomy and independence
- Is confident making clinical decisions
- Likes variety in their caseload
- Wants to help shape and grow a service
- Values being part of a genuinely supportive team environment
Benefits
- Competitive salary package negotiable based on experience
- Multiple professional development opportunities offered throughout the year
- Supportive and flexible management team
- Opportunity to help shape and build the OT service
- Long-term career growth potential
- Established organisation with clinics across the country
- Flexible workflow and autonomy within the role
Requirements
- General AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Minimum 3 years of experience working within the Australian healthcare system
- Comfortable managing a broad mixed caseload independently
- Strong communication and organisational skills
