Liquid Personnel is recruiting Social Worker for its client's Duty and Assessment Team at Wolverhampton.

What will your responsibilities be?
As the first point of statutory contact for families, you will be responsible for managing initial referrals, assessing immediate risk, and determining the most appropriate pathways for children in need of protection or support.
Your day-to-day will involve:
- Responding to new contacts and referrals, executing swift risk screenings, and leading timely Section 47 child protection investigations.
- Conducting comprehensive Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) assessments within statutory timescales.
- Working closely with the MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub), police, schools, and health professionals to gather information and ensure immediate safety.
- Making clear, evidence-based recommendations for case closures, step-downs to early help, or transfers to longer-term safeguarding teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

We need a practitioner with excellent crisis-management skills, strong professional boundaries, and the ability to make confident decisions under pressure.
- Qualifications: A recognized Social Work degree and current registration with Social Work England.
- Experience: Proven post-qualified experience working within a fast-paced Duty and Assessment or Front Door team.
- Skills: Exceptional skills in rapid risk identification, analytical report writing, and the ability to build quick, effective rapport with families during times of crisis.
- Compliance: Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle, and a valid enhanced DBS check.
