Mathematics and Science Tutor

We are looking for a Mathematics and Science Tutor for an Education Group located in Shanghai. This position is available with an immediate start.

About the role

This role involves teaching highly motivated and ambitious students in one-to-one or small group classes, helping them strengthen their academic performance in their current international school or prepare for entrance exams to overseas schools, while also contributing to curriculum development through the creation of engaging, subject-specific content.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver subject-specific lessons across a range of age groups and levels, including creating individualised lesson plans and teaching materials
• Contribute to the development of new and original curriculum content within your specialist field
• Monitor, assess, and mark students’ work, while maintaining accurate records and preparing written reports and evaluations
• Bring forward new ideas, interests, or specialist skills that could enhance the services and learning experience provided

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree or above in a core subject from a top university
• TEFL/ TESOL certification (may be completed after application)
• At least 1 year’s regular tutoring experience, or demonstrable skillset that lends itself to teaching
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Knowledge of UK/US education system and curriculum (Key Stages, GCSE/IGCSE, A-Level, IB and AP) is a major plus, but training will be provided
