Job Summary

Loenbro is hiring two (2) Class B Bus Drivers in Red Oak, TX to shuttle construction crews between the employee parking lot and jobsite each morning and afternoon. This is a fulltime, sitebased role with a fixed 8hour paid day (scheduled driving windows total ~6 hours).

Loenbro seeks reliable, safetyfocused drivers to transport field crews to and from job sites. Drivers ensure timely, secure crew movement, perform vehicle inspections, maintain logs, and support site safety protocols. This role reports to the Site Superintendent or Onsite Operations Lead.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Operate company vehicle to shuttle employees between the employee parking lot and jobsite each morning (approx. 4:00 AM – 7:00 AM CDT) and afternoon (approx. 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM CDT); midday break between shifts.
  • Paid 8 hours per day regardless of actual driving time (typically paid day covers morning and afternoon windows).
  • Perform pre and posttrip vehicle inspections; report defects and safety issues immediately.
  • Conduct passenger headcounts and verify crew manifests; ensure safe boarding and seating.
  • Provide brief safety reminders as required; enforce seatbelt and PPE requirements while on vehicle.
  • Maintain accurate logs (driver log, mileage, fuel, incident reports) and submit daily reports.
  • Coordinate with Recruiting/Onboarding for newhire transport needs and with Site Safety for emergency procedures.
  • Assist with light site support tasks as directed (e.g., moving small equipment, directing parking) consistent with safety policies.

Required:

  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in good standing.
  • Passenger endorsement (P) and airbrake endorsement (if applicable) as required by Texas regulations.
  • Current DOT medical card and ability to pass preemployment and periodic drug/alcohol screening.
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass background check.
  • Proven punctuality, strong communication skills, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and to assist passengers as needed.
  • Familiarity with local roads and safe driving practices in construction zones is preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Outdoor construction setting with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, extreme weather, uneven terrain, and other environmental factors.
  • Frequent visits to outdoor construction sites with exposure to weather extremes.
  • If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
  • Sit, stoop, crawl, and kneel

This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
