Title: Security Coordinator

Position Objective:
Provides secretarial support for the Director and staff of the Security and Environmental Services Departments and coordinates security system support.

- Maintains office records, files, and logs ensuring information is complete and accurate; assures confidentiality of departments files, records, and related matters.
- Proficiently types a variety of correspondence, statistical reports, forms, graphs, and charts for written and/or verbal format using Microsoft Office applications.
- Copies, collates, and staples correspondence, minutes, articles, and reports within a specified date and time and distributes to appropriate people.
- Attends meetings and conferences; prepares meeting agendas, schedules meetings, reserve conference rooms and related material needed.
- Maintains current departmental accounts and budgeted inventory control.
- Orders general office supplies, uniforms and equipment.
- Assists with employee timecards and scheduling of staff as necessary.
- Maintains all timecards and schedules for department reporting to Director of Security.
- Maintains a system of outstanding items and takes appropriate steps to ensure due dates for assignments, appointments, and calendars are current, and other requirements are met.
- Complete a daily assessment of all discharge beds in EPIC and compare with actual times of D/C. Trend time of D/C for the proper alignment of EVS staff.
- Coordinates, programs, maintains security system applications including, but not limited to, CCURE Access Control, Duress/Panic systems Versus, Lynx, Emergency Transport Fund & Lyft account, Uniform Ordering System, etc.
- Administers all Security & EVS maintenance agreements & contracts in software system.
- Coordinates scheduling, documentation & support for departmental and organizational conflict management and other related training programs as necessary.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
The minimum level of education and experience for this position includes:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Two years of office experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Knowledge and aptitude of physical security systems preferred

Physical Demands -
Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
