The Material Coordinator is a hand on role focused on the day to day execution of inventory flow. This role systematically ensuring that stock moves accurately from receipt to the production line. This role is about accuracy, immediate problem solving, and operational reliability.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Inventory Execution: Maintain the daily inventory levels for assigned fresh or ambient categories, ensuring ingredients are physically available and staged for the production team.
- Stock Monitoring: Provide real-time updates on ingredient availability, identifying immediate shortages and escalating risks to the Material Planner to prevent production downtime.
- Administrative Ordering: Execute "top-up" orders and call-offs from suppliers as directed, ensuring delivery schedules align with production needs.
- Data Integrity: Use supply chain systems to log stock movements, investigate immediate discrepancies, and ensure the digital inventory matches the physical stock on the floor.
- Waste Mitigation: Physically monitor expiring stock and "short-dated" items, ensuring older stock is used first (FIFO) and reporting potential waste before it occurs.
- Cycle Counting: Lead site inventory counts and perform initial investigations into stock misplacements or sequence errors.
- Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with the warehouse and production teams to ensure ingredients are delivered to the right lines at the right time.
Who You Are:
- Action-Oriented: You enjoy being on the move and balancing time between the desk and the production floor.

- Effective Communicator: You can clearly explain stock issues to both the warehouse team and the planning office.
- Systems Savvy: You are comfortable using Excel and inventory management software to track data.
- HelloFresh DNA: You are hungry for results, move fast, and aren't afraid to get stuck into the operational details.
