Consultant - Gastroenterology

The Consultant will be responsible for diagnosing and managing patients with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions, performing endoscopic and other related procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive consultations with patients presenting gastrointestinal complaints.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
• Develop patient-centered treatment plans and follow up on clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate with medical colleagues across departments to provide integrated care.
• Support junior medical staff through teaching and mentorship.
• Stay updated with current advancements and best practices in gastroenterology.
• Engage in clinical audits, research, and quality improvement projects.

Requirements

• Medical degree with recognized specialization in Gastroenterology.
• Board certification or equivalent qualification in Gastroenterology.
• Extensive clinical experience in gastroenterology, including proficiency in endoscopic techniques.
• Strong diagnostic and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.
• Experience in teaching and mentorship is an advantage.
• Familiarity with health informatics systems preferred.
