We’re looking for a Manager, Risk & Insurance to join our USA team. In this role, you’ll lead risk management initiatives and ensure our insurance programmes align with our rapid global growth.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the Risk & Insurance team. We operate at the intersection of risk, safety, and innovation, protecting the business by managing corporate insurance programmes and mitigating risk across Actuarial, Claims Operations, and Risk Management & Mitigation.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Drive Risk Strategy: Define and execute our risk management approach to ensure long-term resilience and financial stability as the business evolves.
Optimise Insurance Portfolios: Lead the procurement and management of corporate insurance programmes, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and cost-effective.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with leaders across the organisation to assess evolving risk scenarios and develop innovative mitigation solutions.
Lead and Mentor: Manage and develop a team of specialists, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accuracy and proactive risk identification.
Ensure Compliance: Navigate complex regulatory landscapes to ensure all risk programmes and policies meet global standards and industry best practices.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Essential:
Deep Risk Expertise: 5+ years of experience in risk management, corporate insurance, insurance procurement, or brokerage (preferably in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment).
People Management: 1+ years of experience managing a direct report or a small team of insurance specialists or analysts.
Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to lead initiatives, align senior stakeholders, and drive risk strategies across diverse teams.
Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to assess complex risks, analyse data, and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
Communication & Influence: Proven ability to explain complex risk concepts to executives and cross-functional partners to influence key business decisions.
Nice to Have:
Professional certifications such as ARM or CPCU.
Experience navigating risk within a three-sided marketplace or gig-economy model.
