Role Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in low-voltage switchgear design to support the development and documentation of UL 891 assemblies. This role focuses on creating detailed mechanical layouts that are compliant, manufacturable, and aligned with project requirements.

This is a highly technical position requiring direct experience with switchgear systems, strong CAD skills, and close collaboration with both engineering and production teams.

### Key Responsibilities

Design & Layout Development

Develop mechanical designs for UL 891 switchgear assemblies
Create enclosure layouts, internal compartments, breaker mounting configurations, and structural components
Design bus compartments, cable routing paths, and service access points
Incorporate cooling, ventilation, and arc containment considerations into designs

Engineering Documentation

Produce fabrication-ready documentation, including:
- General arrangement drawings
- Sheet metal part drawings
- Weldment details
- Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Ensure all documentation aligns with UL 891 standards and internal design guidelines
