IP Architect

This role is a senior technical authority position responsible for defining and evolving the core IP network architecture that underpins global connectivity services in highly demanding environments. You will shape end-to-end network design standards, reference architectures, and governance frameworks that ensure scalability, resilience, and operational independence across platforms. Acting at the intersection of engineering, product strategy, and commercial delivery, you will influence both current systems and long-term technology evolution. The environment is highly collaborative and globally distributed, requiring close alignment with engineering, product, and operations teams. You will play a key role in ensuring network platforms are secure, highly available, and future-ready. This position is ideal for a seasoned network architect who thrives in complex, mission-critical infrastructure environments and enjoys driving technical direction at scale.

In this role, you will define, govern, and evolve IP network architecture standards while ensuring alignment with business strategy, operational requirements, and platform scalability goals. You will act as the architectural authority across engineering, product, and commercial functions. Key responsibilities include:

• Owning network architecture standards, reference designs, and build guidelines across IP routing, transport, overlay, and service edge domains.
• Defining resiliency, redundancy, and operational independence principles across all network layers.
• Establishing and maintaining architecture governance frameworks and ensuring compliance across internal and external engineering teams.
• Driving long-term architectural strategy aligned with product roadmaps and commercial objectives.
• Providing technical authority for pre-sales solution design and validating feasibility of complex customer solutions.
• Collaborating with vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders on architectural direction and roadmap alignment.
• Ensuring operational stability by enabling NOC and engineering teams to function without frequent architectural escalation.
• Contributing to continuous improvement of engineering standards and governance practices across the organization.

Requirements

This role requires deep expertise in IP network architecture and large-scale network design, ideally within global or mission-critical infrastructure environments. You should combine strong technical depth with strategic thinking and cross-functional leadership ability.

• Extensive experience in IP network architecture, design, or senior network engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in routing and transport protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, EVPN, SR).
• Experience designing large-scale, resilient, and highly available network systems.
• Strong understanding of SD-WAN, SASE, overlay networks, and hybrid connectivity models.
• Ability to define architecture standards, governance models, and reference frameworks.
• Experience working with product, engineering, and commercial teams in complex environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical architecture into business impact.
• Experience in telecom, satellite, ISP, or global infrastructure environments is highly desirable.
