### Accountabilities
Administer, maintain, and optimize MySQL database environments across production and non-production systemsDesign, implement, and manage replication strategies and high-availability configurationsLead database modernization efforts, including schema refactoring and upgrade planningIntegrate database systems with automated deployment pipelines and DevOps workflowsCollaborate with engineering teams to support CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practicesMonitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategiesEnsure database security, backup, recovery, and data integrity standards are maintainedTroubleshoot and resolve complex database issues in high-availability environmentsSupport adoption of agentic tooling pipelines and AI-driven approaches for database automationDocument database architecture, processes, and operational best practices
### Requirements
Mid- to senior-level professional with 8–10+ years of relevant experience in database administrationStrong hands-on experience in MySQL administration, replication, and high-availability configurationProven expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting complex database issuesExperience with schema refactoring and upgrade planningFamiliarity with automated deployment pipelines and DevOps integrationExperience working with large-scale, high-volume transactional systemsKnowledge of cloud database services and distributed database architecturesExposure to agentic tooling pipelines or AI-driven database management approaches is a plusStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and collaboration skillsA Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related or equivalent work experience required.
