The Work:
You will design, develop, and deploy cloud‑native and containerized applications using Java and modern cloud technologies. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, high‑performance solutions that leverage both cloud‑native and cloud‑agnostic services.
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud‑native applications using Java and aligned cloud technologies.
- Implement microservices architectures and build RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD automation and deployment workflows.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability across cloud platforms.
- Apply security best practices to protect applications and data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, reliability, and security.
- Work closely with architects, product managers, and developers to deliver high‑quality solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality and maintainability.
Here’s What You Need:
- Experience with cloud‑native development and cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP acceptable).
- Proficiency building microservices and RESTful APIs using Java (Spring Boot strongly preferred).
- Hands‑on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of cloud security best practices.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in team environments.
- Active TS/SCI required.
Location: Winchester, VA
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
