We’re seeking a Structural Engineering Manager to guide a growing technical team delivering complex structural solutions across industrial and utility-focused projects. This role blends hands-on engineering judgment with people leadership, ensuring designs meet rigorous standards while mentoring the next generation of engineers. You’ll join a group known for solving tough structural challenges and maintaining a culture built on accountability and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of structural engineers and designers across multiple active projects
- Establish technical direction and review deliverables for compliance with applicable industry codes
- Oversee structural steel design strategies from concept through final documentation
- Support staffing, workload planning, and professional development of engineering personnel
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align structural scope with project goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering required
- Master’s degree preferred
- EIT or PE license preferred
- Strong background in structural engineering fundamentals and steel design
- Prior experience supervising or mentoring technical staff
- Familiarity with utility structure projects is a plus
- Working knowledge of PLS-POLE or PLS-CADD is a plus
- Ability to interpret and apply engineering codes and standards
