JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.) Understand business processes and how they are modeled in various systems
2.) Work with business users, technology teams, and executives to understand their data needs to create innovative solutions to fulfil them
3.) Implement data structures, workflows, and integrations between enterprise platforms to ensure the accurate and timely execution of business processes.
4.) Maintain scalable data pipelines to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
5.) Adhere to established best practices on data integration/engineering, as well as the future of our data infrastructure
6.) Managing and improving the performance of our database, queries, tools, and solutions
7.) Creating and maintaining data warehouse, databases, tables, SQL queries, and ingestion pipelines to power reports (Tableau), dashboards, predictive models, and downstream analysis
8.) Writing complex and efficient queries to transform raw data sources into easily accessible models for our teams and reporting platforms
9.) Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling
10.) Identify and analyze data patterns
11.) Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality
12.) Work with analytics, data science, and wider engineering teams to help with automating data analysis and visualization needs, advise on transformation processes to populate data models, and explore ways to design and develop data infrastructure
13.) Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
14.) Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
15.) Demonstrate Company's Core Competencies and values held within.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):

  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related roles
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and/or distributed databases
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Experience with big data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, or similar)
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Scala, or Java)
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience with data lake/lakehouse architecture
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data quality, and data governance best practices
  • Ability to work with large, complex datasets and optimize performance
  • Solid problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with healthcare data, particularly: EDI transactions such as 835 (remittance advice) and 837 (claims)
  • Familiarity with clinical data and EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or similar Oracle cloud services
  • Understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, HIPAA compliance)
  • Exposure to workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect)
  • Experience supporting analytics, reporting, or data science teams

 

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $110-130K. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
