The primary purpose of this role is to lead and manage the Finance Department of Appleton’s European business, to prepare/control and report consolidated financial results for the sites in Romania and France (Appleton Romania, Easy Heat Europe SAS, and ATX SAS).
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Financial control of all aspects of the business.
- Full responsibility for monthly reporting, consolidation, and data integrity, analysis, and forecasting.
- Analyze financial data and prepare the monthly POR (President Operating Report), capital budget, personnel planning and reporting, etc.
- Review monthly financial results to ensure overall data integrity and explain significant variances versus monthly plan/prior year.
- Coordinate annual budgets (full P&L, asset management, and headcount planning).
- Provide routine and ad-hoc analysis as instructed by business unit management.
- Communicate financial results to business management.
- Establish and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with legal and Emerson policies and procedures.
- Review reports prepared by the cost controller and standard management reports.
- Develop and implement new financial tools and processes to improve efficiency and achieve strategic objectives.
- Provide technical and analytical support for various ad-hoc projects.
- Manage administrative and reporting requirements for the Amiens team – verify monthly timesheets, approve and include overtime for payment, vacation requests, purchases for personal use (office supplies, IT equipment), IT connections, and system access for team members.
- Actively involved in team development – setting objectives and performance evaluation together with the Cluj Financial Services Center, establishing training and development plans, organizational analysis, talent reviews.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Fluent English language skills, verbal, reading and writing;
- Relevant University Degree – Finance & Business preferred;
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze at both high and detailed levels.
- Experience of variance analysis and budgeting/forecasting;
- Experience of dealing with statutory audits and compliance;
- Working knowledge of Romanian and US or IFRS GAAP;
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Skills;
- Knowledge of JD Edwards is an advantage
