About Cityfurnish:

Cityfurnish is a fast-growing furniture and appliances rental platform helping urban consumers create comfortable homes with flexible, affordable solutions. We combine technology, design, and operations to deliver a seamless customer experience — and we’re rapidly scaling our tech to support business growth. Join us to build real-world, high-impact systems at scale.

About the Role:

We’re hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer to take ownership of building and scaling our core platforms. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end development across our customer-facing and internal systems, and we expect you to actively leverage AI tools to accelerate your workflow, improve code quality, and ship faster.

You’ll work closely with product, operations, and leadership to develop systems that directly impact customer experience, inventory management, and business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, build, and scale high-performance web applications using React.js (Next.js), TypeScript, and Node.js (Express.js)

• Develop customer-facing platforms — website, dashboards, checkout flows — with a focus on performance and UX

• Build and optimize internal tools for inventory, warehouse operations, and order tracking

• Design robust, scalable REST APIs and backend systems

• Leverage AI coding tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.) to accelerate prototyping, debugging, testing, and documentation

• Identify opportunities to integrate AI-powered features (e.g., intelligent search, chatbots, automated workflows) where they add real business value

• Write clean, maintainable, production-ready code following best practices

• Manage deployments and infrastructure on AWS / Azure

• Translate business problems into efficient tech solutions

• Ensure performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility across all platforms

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Core Engineering

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack web development

• Strong expertise in React.js / Next.js, TypeScript & JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js with Express.js, MySQL or similar relational databases, and Tailwind CSS

• Solid understanding of system design, scalable architecture, REST APIs, asynchronous request handling, and SPA architecture

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and UI/UX principles

• Proficiency with Git/GitHub workflows and build tools (Webpack, Babel, npm/yarn)

• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset

AI - Assisted Development:

• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, etc.) as part of your regular development workflow

• Ability to write effective prompts to get quality outputs from LLMs for code generation, debugging, and documentation

• Familiarity with integrating AI/LLM APIs (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI) into web applications

Good to Have:

• Experience with state management (Redux, Context API), microservices architecture, or event-driven systems

• Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud deployments

• Experience with analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude) or observability platforms

• Knowledge of security practices and authentication (JWT, OAuth)

• Prior experience in e-commerce, logistics, or inventory systems

• Exposure to prompt engineering patterns, agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, or vector databases

Why Join Cityfurnish:

• AI-forward culture — we actively use AI tools to build and ship faster

• High ownership, zero bureaucracy

• Real-world problems at scale

• Direct impact on business and product decisions

• Fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
