Job Description
This is a full time, permanent position working 39 hours per week flexibly. This role is homebased with an operational base in Cork, Ireland. This role will require significant travel across the UK & Ireland.
As Business Development Exec for PSS UK/IRE, reporting to the Managing Director of PSS UK/IRE, you will be responsible for driving the region’s business development of PSS, ensuring consistent, rapid and sustainable growth in sales across Ireland and United Kingdom. You will be working in collaboration with an experienced team of PSS operations leaders to achieve these objectives.
Job Responsibilities that you be covering:
- You will drive the business development strategy and growth efforts for PSS across the UK and Ireland.
- You will work closely with PSS Leadership to understand priorities and set ambitious yet achievable annual targets.
- You will identify, pursue, and win new PSS opportunities, developing key accounts through analysing client organisations and uncovering their service requirements.
- You will assess client needs and help design tailored service solutions, collaborating with PSS Leadership to create proposals, present to clients, and deliver outcomes that meet revenue and profitability goals.
- You will collaborate with global colleagues on multi‑regional projects, manage contracting processes for new business, maintain accurate CRM reporting, and support marketing initiatives to promote the Eurofins brand.
- You will monitor customer satisfaction for existing clients and undertake additional duties as required to support successful service delivery.
Qualifications
What skills, qualifications and experiences you will hold as an Business Development Executive:
- As a Business Development Executive, you will hold a degree (or equivalent experience) in a life sciences discipline, or demonstrate relevant vocational training and business expertise.
- You will have proven business development success at senior levels within the target industry, ideally with experience in Pharma Insourcing.
- As a Business Development Executive, you will operate confidently within GxP environments and ensure all activities meet regulatory expectations.
- You will use expert knowledge of product commercialisation, manufacturing, supply chain processes, and associated testing and service needs within your clients’ markets.
- You will manage key commercial and contractual processes—such as CDAs, MSAs, and pricing agreements—while supporting negotiations and resolving commercial issues with senior oversight.
- As a Business Development Executive, you will act as a strong communicator, presenter, and team player, building effective networks and maintaining a customer‑focused, service‑led approach at all times.
