Due to continued growth, we are seeking a passionate and driven Lawyer with 2–4 years PQE to join our Abuse and Public Liability (PL) team. This is a unique opportunity to work on meaningful cases that truly impact lives, while developing your career in a supportive and highly experienced team.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll manage a diverse portfolio of complex and sensitive matters, including institutional abuse and Wrongs Act claims.

You’ll have the chance to advocate for individuals across a variety of sectors, providing strategic advice and representing clients through all stages of litigation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Handling matters arising under the Wrongs Act legislation, including institutional and historical abuse claims
  • Take instructions and providing advice to a broad range of clients
  • Preparing pleadings, affidavits, and expert briefs
  • Attending and preparing matters for mediations, settlement conferences and hearings
  • Working closely with senior lawyers and partners to build your technical and advocacy skills

What We're Looking For

  • 2–4 years PAE, with solid exposure to Wrongs Act matters
  • Demonstrated experience in personal injury
  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills
  • A client-focused mindset with empathy and discretion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment
