Project Manager
The Project Manager – MEP Division is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards. The role involves coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery from initiation through completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end delivery of MEP projects from initiation through commissioning and final handover.
Develop, monitor, and control detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Oversee installation and commissioning of Mechanical (HVAC, Firefighting, Plumbing) and/or Electrical (LV, MV, ELV) systems.
Ensure all works comply with contractual specifications, approved drawings, and applicable codes and standards.
Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and material approvals.
Manage project financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, variations, and, claims.
Conduct regular progress review meetings and submit accurate technical and commercial reports to senior management.
Identify project risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
Lead, mentor, and manage project engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
Oversee testing, commissioning, documentation, and successful project handover.
Effectively manage client, consultant, contractor, and supplier relationships to ensure alignment and timely decision-making.
Candidate Profile:
Chartered Electrical Engineer or Chartered Mechanical Engineer (mandatory).
Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of ten years’ experience in MEP project management, with proven delivery of medium- to large-scale projects.
Strong technical expertise in electrical and/or mechanical building services systems.
Demonstrated experience in managing the full project lifecycle, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong knowledge of international codes, standards, and best practices in MEP works.
Proven leadership, team management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Excellent commercial awareness and contract management experience.
Strong communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in project planning and cost control tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
