 How will you make an impact in this role?

 The Senior Financial Analyst – Treasury & Cash Management will play a key role in shaping the future of Treasury operations at American Express. This role blends strong analytical and financial skills with a passion for innovation – using automation and AI-driven insights to optimize cash management, enhance forecasting accuracy, and improve liquidity visibility.

You’ll collaborate with Treasury, Finance, Risk, and Technology partners to design intelligent solutions that streamline processes, elevate data transparency, and strengthen our global liquidity position.

 What You’ll Do:

  •  Manage & forecast American Express’ intraday cash flows to maximize available cash for investing and minimize borrowing costs.

  • Approve and execute cash transfers on a timely basis.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and variance analysis through data analytics.
  • Standardize BAU processes with other GTO Regions
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Leverage AI to use data and technology to drive smarter decisions, streamline manual tasks, and enhance real-time visibility into cash positions.
  • Support the design and rollout of data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to communicate insights and drive decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to Enterprise, Finance and Treasury risk, control, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strengthen financial governance through automation and data integrity initiatives.

Minimum Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience in Treasury or Finance
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple teams.
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Candidate must be able to work independently under strict deadlines in a fast-paces operations environment
  • A passion for innovation and continuous improvement in finance operations.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and familiarity with tools like Python, SQL, Alteryx, or Power Automate.

  • Proven experience implementing AI, data analytics, or process automation within finance operations.

Minimum Qualifications

 

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
