Opal Fibre Packaging Australia provides a full service offering in corrugated cardboard box packaging from design and product testing through to supply chain integration. We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager to join the team at our site in Revesby (NSW).

Reporting to the Revesby Site Manager, the key focus of this role will be to:

Manage production across teams across three shifts, with 5 direct reports and approx. 100 indirect reports
Driving forward load planning to align production capacity with customer demand
Oversee production scheduling and site reporting, ensuring optimal allocation of labour and resources
Manage daily operations to consistently achieve customer demand and DIFOT targets
Delivering against site KPIs, maintaining cost performance in line with budgets, while driving efficiency, reducing waste, and improving output
Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across production, cost, and service
Lead initiatives aligned to lean manufacturing and operational excellence principles
Building and sustaining a positive, accountable team culture though strong leadership and engagement
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
Collaborating cross-functionally to optimise planning and execution, including coordinating planned maintenance

For this role we would ideally like you to have:

Proven experience in a senior role within a fast-paced, high volume Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing environment (packaging or similar industry experience highly regarded)
Demonstrated expertise in:
- Forward planning and capacity management
- Strategic and operational planning
- Labour planning and workforce optimisation
Strong track record in people leadership, including influencing, change management and team development
Working knowledge of Lean / Continuous Improvement methodologies (eg. 5S, TPM, Kaizen)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to interpret and present data effectively
Solid understanding of safety, quality, and compliance frameworks within a manufacturing environment
Strong commercial acumen, ability to manage costs, drive performance, and deliver against KPI’s.
Highly developed communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level.
A hands-on leadership style, with a clear focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence
Demonstrated excellent in stakeholder management and industrial relations
