The Role
Discovery Parks Lake Argyle is searching for an experienced and safety driven Master 5 Skipper to join our dynamic tourism team. This is a rare opportunity to live and work at one of the most breathtaking destinations in the Kimberley, operating tours on the iconic Kimberley Durack which has a 13.45m waterline and 15m overall length.
You will be an essential part of delivering unforgettable guest experiences, from seamless transfers in and out of Kununurra to operating our world class guided boat tours across the vast scenic Lake Argyle.
Duties
As a key member of our operations team, you will:
- Safely operate the Kimberley Durack and other vessels on scheduled tours
- Provide engaging commentary and exceptional service to guests from all over the world
- Conduct safe and professional transfers between Lake Argyle and Kununurra
- Uphold safety standards, vessel maintenance, and operational procedures
- Represent Discovery Parks with pride, professionalism, and genuine Kimberley hospitality

Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role, you must hold:
- Master 5 Certificate (Essential)
- MED 2 (Essential)
- Senior First Aid (Essential)
- Manual Drivers Licence (Essential)
Remote area or marine tourism experience is highly regarded.

This is a remote role, where you will be living and working in the Kimberley Region. As such, please consider the reality of living in a remote location for an extended period of time. This role includes extensive manual handling tasks including lifting up to 20kg kneeling and squatting, as well as handling chemicals and utilising machinery
